Top 10 Moments: #4 – Women's Basketball Downs Maine-Fort Kent at USCAA Nationals

A layup from Kristin D'Chiutiis with four seconds left helped the women's basketball team capture a dramatic 67-65 victory over the University of Maine-Fort Kent at the USCAA National Championships.

In her final career game, senior Megan Moran posted a career- and game-high 28 points on 12-of-14 shooting, helping the Lady Bears build as large as a 23 point lead in the opening stanza, before the Bengals clawed their way back to take the lead with less than two minutes to go.

With the Lady Bears having possession with 15 seconds remaining in a tie ballgame, D'Chiutiis brought up the ball from the back court and dribbled past several Maine defenders for a baseline layup that sealed the first postseason win since 2010.

Taylor Raccuglia registered a near triple-double with eight points, nine rebounds and 11 assists in victory – her 11 assists the most by a Lady Bear since Annamarie Ciorciari in 2008 and only the second Lady Bear to record double-digit dimes.

The Lady Bears finished the season with a 16-12 mark and made their eighth USCAA National appearance in program history entering as the tournament's No. 7 seed, falling to No. 2 Ave Maria in the opening round.
