Top 10 Moments: #6 – Softball Wins Sixth Straight Hudson Valley Tournament Title

Continuing their dominance in conference play, the Softball Team won their sixth straight Hudson Valley Tournament title cruising past The College of New Rochelle, 18-0, in the semifinals and defeating newcomer Yeshiva, 14-1, in the championship.

Junior Jackie Perillo earned Tournament MVP honors for the second straight year batting 3-for-4 with a home run, six runs scored and three RBI over the tournament, while firing a complete game four-hitter in the championship.

AD3I Coach of the Year Frank Carbone guided the Lady Bears to a 17-16 record while veteran Cassandra Molinari batted .475 and was named AD3I Co-Player of the Year and to the All-HVIAC Team. Molinari and Perillo helped lead a young squad that featured seven freshmen that made an immediate impact, with three also receiving All-HVIAC Team honors, Kristin Ferrigno, Samantha Rossi and Samantha Simon.

Dating back to 2009, the Lady Bears have won 28 straight games in Hudson Valley regular season and tournament play.
