Driving Directions to Fairleigh Dickinson University
From Northeast: Take I-287 across the Tappan Zee Bridge to Exit 37 (NJ 24 East).
Follow NJ 24 East to Exit 2A (NJ 510 West). At first light (Park Avenue), make a left.
The entrance to FDU is four lights down on the right-hand side. This is the PARK
AVENUE GATE.
From West on I-80;Northern PA: Exit onto I-287 South to Exit 37 (NJ 24 East).
Follow NJ 24 East to Exit 2A (NJ 510 West). At first light (Park Avenue), make a left.
The entrance to FDU is four lights down on the right-hand side. This is the PARK
AVENUE GATE.
From South: Take NJ Turnpike to Exit 10, I-287 North to Exit 35. At the end of exit,
turn left at light. Make quick right; go one block and make another right onto Madison
Avenue (Route 124 East). The entrance to campus is approximately 2.5 miles on the left,
shortly after passing the Madison Hotel. This is the MADISON AVENUE GATE.
From Newark Area: I-78 West. Follow Route 24 West to Exit 2A (NJ510 West). At
first light, turn left. The entrance to the FDU campus is four lights down on the right hand
side. This is the PARK AVENUE GATE.
From New York City (approx. 25 miles): From Lincoln Tunnel, continue to I-95
(New Jersey Turnpike) south to Exit 15W - I-280. Follow I-280 West to 80 West to I-287
South to Exit 37 (NJ 24 East). Follow NJ 24 East to Exit 2A (NJ 510 West). At first light
(Park Avenue), make a left. The entrance to FDU is four lights down on the right-hand
side. This is the PARK AVENUE GATE.
From Central/Southern Pennsylvania: Take I-78 East to I-287 North to Exit 35.
At the end of exit, turn left at light. Make a quick right; go one block and make another
right onto Madison Avenue (Route 124 East). The entrance to campus is approximately
2.5 miles on the left, shortly after passing the Madison Hotel. This is the MADISON
AVENUE GATE.
Athletic Venues
Ferguson Rec Center: Athletic Offices, Basketball, Volleyball, Swimming:
Park Avenue Gate: Proceed uphill to gatehouse. Turn right at gatehouse. Ferguson
Recreation Center will be third building on left. Parking is across from center on right.
Madison Avenue Gate: Proceed under rail bridge to gatehouse. Turn left at gatehouse.
Follow road around bend; center will be on right side. Parking is across from center on left.
Robert T. Shields Field – Football, Men’s Lacrosse, Women's Lacrosse, Field Hockey:
Park Avenue Gate: Proceed uphill to gatehouse. Turn right at gatehouse. Field will be 1/4
mile ahead, parking is on right side of road.
Madison Avenue Gate: Proceed under rail bridge to gatehouse. Turn left at gatehouse.
Field will be on left. Parking is across from Recreation Center on left.
Baseball, Men’s Soccer Field:
Park Avenue Gate: Proceed uphill to gatehouse. Turn right at gatehouse. Follow road
around bend. At 4-way intersection, turn right. Go under rail bridge. Veer right when
road splits. All fields will be on right, with parking on street or adjacent to brick wall.
Madison Avenue Gate: Make immediate left turn after proceeding through gate. Baseball
backstop will be visible. Parking is on street, or adjacent to brick wall.
Women’s Soccer Field:
Park Avenue Gate: Proceed uphill to gatehouse. Turn right at gatehouse. Follow road
around bend. At 4-way intersection, turn right. Go under rail bridge. Veer to left into
parking lot when road splits. Field is next to parking lot.
Madison Avenue Gate: Make immediate right turn into parking lot after proceeding
through gate. Field is next to parking lot.
Softball Field, Tennis Courts:
Park Avenue Gate: Proceed uphill to gatehouse. Turn right at gatehouse. Follow road
around bend. Pass through 4 way intersection, keeping gatehouse on right side. At stop
sign, turn left. Field/Courts will be 1/6 mile on left. Parking is across from softball
outfield.
Madison Avenue Gate: Proceed under rail bridge to gatehouse. At gatehouse, turn right.
At stop sign, turn left. Field/Courts will be 1/6 mile on left. Parking is across from
softball outfield.
