21 Student-Athletes Receive AD3I Spring All-Academic Team Honors
BROOKLYN, N.Y. — Twenty-one student-athletes from St. Joseph’s College (Brooklyn) were named by the Association of Division III Independents (AD3I) to its Spring All-Academic Team in recognition of outstanding academic achievement during the spring semester.
The announcement follows the 17 student-athletes who garnered Hudson Valley Intercollegiate Athletic Conference All-Academic honors earlier this month. Unlike the HVIAC honor which measures the cumulative grade-point average at the conclusion of the Spring semester, the AD3I citation recognizes the student-athletes of sophomore academic standing or higher who maintained a minimum grade-point average of 3.5 during the spring semester while competing in one of the Association’s winter or spring sports – men’s and women’s basketball, softball and baseball.
A total of 86 student-athletes from seven member institutions were named to the AD3I All-Academic Team with St. Joseph’s accounting for the highest number of All-Academic honorees including four multi-sport athletes. Of those receiving All-Academic honors, 11 also received All-Independent recognition in their respective sport, 10 of whom earning first-team accolades.
The Athletic Department would like to congratulate the following Bears and Lady Bears for an outstanding spring semester both in the classroom and on the court and field.
