Urshela, Rom and Somers Honored at 25th Annual SJC Golf Classic
PLANDOME, N.Y.—On Monday, June 8, over 140 golfers enjoyed a tremendous day of golf at the Plandome Country Club for the SJC Golf Classic where graduating seniors and multi-sport athletes Raul Urshela and Shannon Rom were named the 2015 Outstanding Brooklyn Student-Athletes.
Newly inducted Bears Hall of Famer and volunteer assistant baseball coach Steve Somers '82 was the honoree for the 25th Annual Golf Classic recognizing his tremendous contributions to the College, where he also serves as a current member on the board of trustees.
The proceeds from the sellout event will help support the athletic programs on both Brooklyn and Long Island campuses.
