Juricich Garners USCAA & AD3I Baseball Player of the Week Honors

BROOKLYN, NY – Senior Keith Juricich (San Mateo, CA/Serra) was selected as the United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA) Baseball Pitcher of the Week and Association of Division III Independents (AD3I) Baseball Player of the Week for games ending March 28 as announced in releases by both Associations earlier today.

Juricich, a senior pitcher/outfielder for St. Joseph's College (Brooklyn), pitched a complete game two-hitter leading the Bears to a 5-1 victory over University of Maine-Presque Isle on Saturday afternoon.

Making his first start of the season and only appearance on the mound for the week, Juricich improved to 1-0 tossing seven innings, striking out a career-high eight and walking none.  His only run came unearned, maintaining a perfect 0.00 ERA in 12 innings pitched this season.

For the second straight week a St. Joseph's College baseball player has received the weekly accolades with fellow Golden State native Chris Davidson (San Carlos, CA/Carlmont) selected for the honor last week.  It is the first time in Juricich's career to receive either accolade.

Juricich and Davidson will lead St. Joseph's (3-7) back to their home state for a five-game road trip against Menlo College (12-11) and Academy of Art University (2-24) on Thursday, April 1 – Saturday, April 3 hosted by Menlo College in Atherton, CA.
