Baseball vs. Abington and Albertus Magnus Canceled; Two Weekend Doubleheaders Added

(Updated 4/29/2014 @ 1:30 pm) BROOKLYN, N.Y. – Due to the anticipated wet forecast for the next few days, the final St. Joseph's College (Brooklyn) home baseball game at MCU Park against Penn State Abington and the road doubleheader at Albertus Magnus on Thursday have both been canceled.

The Bears (24-9) will return to action with two new weekend doubleheaders to close out the regular season. The winners of 13 of their last 14 will face Drew University in Madison, N.J. on Saturday before returning to Brooklyn to host CCNY on Sunday at James Madison High School. Both twinbills will begin at noon.

St. Joseph's will find out on Friday if their season will continue past the weekend as the selection show for the 2014 USCAA Small College World Series will be broadcast on TheUSCAA.com at 12:30 p.m. The Bears are ranked No. 6 in the latest USCAA Coaches' Poll and seek their second ever post-season berth.
