Rapp's 100th Hit Earns Spot on Skyline Weekly Honor Roll

BROOKLYN, N.Y. — After knocking five hits over their Skyline Conference doubleheader at Maritime College on Saturday, St. Joseph's College (Brooklyn) junior Francis Rapp (Baldwin, N.Y./Oceanside) was named to the Skyline weekly honor roll for the week ending April 3 announced by the league office early this morning.

After batting 3-for-5 in the opener and 2-for-4 in game two, Rapp became the third Bear this season to reach the 100-hit milestone, reaching the mark in 97 games played and 297 at bats. The Bears went on to split their first Skyline Conference games in program history in a pair of one-run decisions.

The shortstop finished the busy five-game week for St. Joseph's hitting successfully in four games, recording three multi-hit games and compiling a .444 average (8-for-18) with two RBI and three runs scored.

Sitting at level .500 at 10-10 overall, the Bears will wrap up a five-game road stand tomorrow taking on New York University MCU Park, home of the Brooklyn Cyclones. The non-conference matinee is slated for 3:30 p.m. with live stats available on SJCBears.com
