The Regular Season Meetings
In the regular season meeting in early April, and both teams Skyline openers, the team's split the doubleheader in a pair of one-run games.
Game 1 - St. Joseph's 8, Maritime 7
- The Bears took game one riding a big five-run seventh inning that broke a 3-3 deadlock, but Maritime stormed back and in the bottom of the ninth put the tying run on first with no outs, but Rosario DiLorenzo shut the door on the rally and preserve the 8-7 victory for his first career save.
- Brian Luebcke earned the game one victory improving to 3-0 working eight innings and striking out nine, but the Privateers touched him up for 10 hits and seven runs, his worst outing of the season.
- Maritime rookie ace A.J. Ammirati, the reigning Skyline Rookie of the Week, took the loss as the Bears handed him his worst outing of the season belting scoring six runs (four earned) on 11 hits in just 6.1 innings.
- Francis Rapp and John Condon each had 3-for-5 games. Thomas Pallatto (1-for-5, 3 RBI, R) and Adam Schwartz (2-for-4, RBI, R) both launched their first home runs of the season.
Game 2 - Maritime 5, St. Joseph's 4
- The Bears jumped ahead with a three-run first but the Privateers chipped away at the lead with solo runs in the first and third innings. A two-run homer from Chris Deddo in the fifth put the hosts on top for good.
- Maritime tacked on an insurance run in the sixth, which would come in handy as Michael Camerada led off the top of the seventh with a solo blast, to make it a one-run ball game, but St. Joseph's couldn't manufacture any more offense.
- Mitch Brigando struck out six in a complete-game losing effort while Alex Poliwoda also went the distance for the Maritime in the win, striking out one and allowing eight hits.
- Francis Rapp (2-for-4) knocked his 100th career hit. Nicholas LoPrinzi and Adam Schwartz both had 2-for-3 games with LoPrinzi also collecting a RBI.
