BROOKLYN, N.Y. -- Coming off a 69-57 defeat at the hands of Hunter College, St. Joseph's returns to Brooklyn Technical High School looking to get back into the win column facing NYU-Poly on Tuesday night at 7:30 p.m.

Series History / Last Meeting

St. Joseph's leads the all-time series 5-4 with the Blue Jays closing the gap with a 71-63 triumph on their home floor last January in a game that saw NYU-Poly finish on an 11-3 run to earn a come-from-behind victory.

Last time out: St. Joseph's suffered a 69-57 setback at Hunter College on Friday night as the Hawks celebrated homecoming. The Bears were once again led by junior Vernon Maddox who poured in a team-high-tying 13 points along with four assists while junior David Louison contributed his third double-double of the season chipping in 10 points and 11 boards.

Louison continues to lead St. Joseph's in scoring averaging 13.8 points per game while securing 8.4 caroms per game. Maddox is playing the best basketball of his career over the last four games putting up 10.8 points per night while dishing out 4.0 assists per game.

The Bears also receive contributions from sophomores Michael Megafu and Matt O'Neill. Megafu is currently second on the team dropping in 12.8 points per game while leading the team in rebounding with his 8.6 boards per game. O'Neill has started to heat up the last three games contributing 13.3 points per game to the St. Joseph's cause going 14-of-30 (46.7 percent) from the field during the stretch.

Last time out: Led by 21 points from Thomas Fabian, NYU-Poly defeated SUNY ESF 79-66 on Sunday to snap a four-game losing streak.

NYU-Poly, picked last in the preseason poll for the ten team Skyline Conference, is led by sophomore Brendan Gallagher who leads the team in scoring and rebounding with averages of 16.4 points and 7.0 rebounds per game.

The Blue Jays also receive production from Jethro Auguste who had a double-double when the two teams met a year ago. Auguste is putting up 9.7 points per game and 6.7 rebounds per game to help support the offensively challenged Blue Jays who average only 60.4 points per game and shoot 33.1 percent from the field.
