Louison Repeats as AD3I Player of the Week

BROOKLYN, N.Y. – In recognition of his achievements on the hardwood, junior David Louison (Brooklyn, N.Y./St. Edmund Prep) has been awarded the Association of Division III Independents (AD3I) Player of the Week, for the second week in a row, and was named to the Hudson Valley Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (HVIAC) Honor Roll after leading the St. Joseph's College (Brooklyn) men's basketball team in scoring during the week.

Louison continued his strong play this week, averaging 23.0 points per game on efficient 58.8 percent (20-of-34) shooting along with 9.5 rebounds per game as St. Joseph's went 1-1 during the week. The junior began the week with an 18-point, 8-rebound outing on 8-of-14 (57.1 percent) shooting against Valley Forge Christian College on Thursday. The forward added two assists, two blocks and a steal as the Bears defeated the Patriots, 82-76.

Louison came back the very next day with his best performance of the week, pouring in a game-high 28 points on 12-of-20 (60.0 percent) shooting while securing 11 boards for his eighth double-double on the season.

The junior is now a four-time recipient of the weekly honor given out by the Association, adding to his four Player of the Week accolades from the Hudson Valley Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (HVIAC) and D3hoops.com Team of the Week award this season.

St. Joseph's (10-8) is in action today, travelling to HVIAC and Clinton Hill rivals Pratt Institute for a 7:30 p.m. matchup.
