Louison Wins Second Consecutive HVIAC Player of the Week

BROOKLYN, N.Y.—For the second consecutive week, David Louison (Brooklyn, N.Y./St. Edmund Prep) was named the Hudson Valley Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (HVIAC) Player of the Week.

Louison led St. Joseph's to victory over Southern Virginia 89-74 on Saturday in a game they never trailed by recording 23 points and game highs in rebounds (10), steals (4) and blocks (2). The senior shot 63.6 percent (7-11) from the field and also added four assists in his most impressive all-around effort of the season. This was his sixth consecutive double-double and second consecutive 20-plus point performance.

Louison is averaging team highs in scoring (17.2) and rebounding (12.7) to go along with a 54.2 field goal percentage. Behind the senior's leadership, the Bears are off to a 5-1 start, their best since the 2002-03 season.

Louison is now an eight-time recipient of the HVIAC Player of the Week honor and will look to continue his torrid start at Mount Saint Vincent in Riverdale, N.Y. on Thursday.
