MONTCLAIR, N.J. — The St. Joseph's College (Brooklyn) men's soccer team (0-2) fell to No. 6 Montclair State University (2-0), 7-0, in non-conference action on Saturday evening. It was the Bears first-ever game against a ranked opponent in program history.

How it Happened

The host Red Hawks (2-0) scored in the game's opening minute on an unassisted tally from Jose Huerta. MSU built a two-goal cushion five minutes later and built a 6-0 lead at the intermission.

After a high-scoring first half, last season's NCAA sectional finalists scored their lone second-half goal in the 65th minute.

  • Junior Alejandro Oliveros (Brooklyn, N.Y./Grover Cleveland) faced 33 shots and finished with 12 saves.
