Caicedo Victorious But Men's Tennis Falls to Albertus Magnus

FLUSHING, N.Y. – Freshman Kevin Caicedo (Jackson Heights, N.Y./Monsignor McClancy) grinded out his second singles win of the season but the St. Joseph's College (Brooklyn) men's tennis team fell 8-1 to Albertus Magnus College on Saturday afternoon at the USTA National Tennis Center.

Caicedo defeated Joe Inseon, 10-7, at No. 3 singles, securing the lone point for the Bears (0-5) and he improves to 2-3 in singles play in his rookie campaign. Sophomore Nolan Parr (Red Hook, N.Y./Red Hook Central) dropped a 10-4 decision at No. 4 singles. Both Caicedo and Parr later teamed up for an 8-2 defeat at No. 2 doubles.

St. Joseph's returns to action on Tuesday, April 15 for their Hudson Valley Intercollegiate Athletic Conference opener against Sarah Lawrence College starting at 7 p.m. in Bronxville, N.Y.
