Spotlight: Nolan Parr, Men's Tennis, Soccer & Basketball

Spotlight: Nolan Parr, Men's Tennis, Soccer & Basketball

We bring back our popular summer feature giving you a more personal look at some of our student-athletes and staff members. Check back every Tuesday and Thursday for our next installment. (If any student-athletes would like to participate on a future spotlight, please e-mail amacapugay@sjcbears.com.)

Over the course of three seasons on the tennis court, Nolan Parr is one of the most improved players leading the team in singles and doubles wins the past two seasons -- after recording no victories in his freshman campaign -- and climbing his way up the lineup to the No. 2 singles position and being selected to the All-HVIAC team for two straight years. A defender on the soccer team, he scored his first career goal this season in a win over Medgar Evers and tallied another two days later in a victory over Sarah Lawrence. On the hardwood this season, Parr came off the bench and scored all but one of his field goals from three-point land, recording season highs of six points twice against LaVerne and King's (N.Y.). Despite the rigors of playing a sport in all three seasons, Parr has been named to the USCAA, HVIAC and AD3I All-Academic Teams the last two years.
