BRONX, N.Y. — Junior Israel Bautista (Forest Hills, N.Y./Forest Hills) won the final singles match of the afternoon to avoid a sweep as the St. Joseph's College (Brooklyn) men's tennis team fall to Lehman College, 8-1, in a non-conference road match on Friday.

Bautista, who only played in the singles session, earned a 7-5, 6-2, straight-set victory at No. 6 singles for his second win of the season. Denise Trerotola (Brooklyn, N.Y./St. Saviour) took four games off her opponent at No. 3 singles in a 6-3, 6-1 loss.

The Bears (1-6, 0-5) return to Skyline Conference play on Saturday, April 14 hosting Mount Saint Mary College at the USTA National Tennis Center at 12 p.m.
