Men’s Tennis Suffers First Loss in Road Test at Staten Island

STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — The St. Joseph's College (Brooklyn) men's tennis team suffered a 9-0 non-conference setback to the College of Staten Island (1-1) on Friday afternoon.

Senior Israel Bautista (Forest Hills, N.Y./Forest Hills) turned in a strong effort in a 6-0, 6-3 loss at No. 3 singles, dropping several close deuce games. Senior Denise Trerotola (Brooklyn, N.Y./St. Saviour) also took three games off her opponent in the No. 2 position in a 6-3, 6-0 battle.

St. Joseph's (1-1) has a week off before heading to borough rival Brooklyn College for a non-conference match on Friday, March 29 at 3 p.m.
