The Bear Facts

  • St. Joseph's wraps up their inaugural season in the Skyline Conference today and honors six seniors for Senior Day. Four-year seniors Norrin Martinez, Clyde Delacruz and three-year senior Thomas Kennedy helped the Bears to their most winningest stretch in program history, amassing over 30 wins the last four seasons.
  • Norrin Martinez will leave as the program's second-leading setter, eclipsing 1000 career assists yesterday and the all-time ace leader with 104 aces, the only Bear to reach the 100 ace mark.
  • After returning from injury last season, Delacruz has had a breakout season hitting a Skyline third-best .350 this season with a career-best 159 kills. He will leave as the all-time leader in attack percentage (.246) and second in blocks per set (0.64)
  • Thomas Kennedy ranks second all-time in the Bears record book in kills per set (2.05) and digs per set (2.17). The first Bear to receive Skyline Player of the Week honors two weeks ago, Kennedy pounded a career-high 22 kills at Pratt on Wednesday and leads the team with 188 kills this season.

Chasing Down Ramapo

  • The Roadrunners have already clinched a berth in the Skyline Conference tournament and will likely claim the No. 2 seed with a victory on Saturday.
  • Ramapo is led by two-time Player of the Week Justin Feigeles who leads the league with 3.55 kills per set and is hitting .244
  • Freshman Mikhael Erushalimski hands out a Skyline second-best 9.18 assists per set and directs an offense that hits .222, second in the league.
