Dietz Selected to Coach at Inaugural GEVA Boy's High Performance Camp

BROOKLYN, N.Y. — St. Joseph's College (Brooklyn) Head Men's Volleyball Coach Patrick Dietz has been selected as one of the assistant coaches ifor the Garden Empire Volleyball Association (GEVA) Boy's High Performance (HP) program.

The GEVA Boy's HP program is a regional chapter of USA Volleyball's national HP program and provides an avenue for the region's premier players to receive training and competition opportunities from some of the top coaches in the region. After 12 years of conducting a successful HP girls program, GEVA launched its first boy's program this summer.

"I am proud to be a part of the inaugural GEVA High Performance program and to represent St. Joseph's College as one of three college coaches working with these great young men," remarked Dietz.

The second-year Bears coach is one of two coaches from the Skyline Conference, joined by Charlie Ginex of defending five-time champion Kean University. Robert Wolter, former Vassar College head coach, rounds out the three collegiate head coaches at the camp.

Dietz will help guide a team of men 17-and-under, competing in the USAV HP Championships this week in in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., the highest-level junior tournament available in the United States. The championships are a culmination of a three-stage program that began in May with tryouts followed by a selection camp earlier this month and a team camp held this past weekend.
