Smalley Receives Skyline Weekly Honor Roll Recognition

NEW YORK — After turning in a career effort in the victory over Medgar Evers College last Thursday, St. Joseph's College (Brooklyn) junior outside hitter Alec Smalley (Fresh Meadows, N.Y./St. Francis Prep) was named to the Skyline Conference men's volleyball weekly honor roll earlier this week.

Smalley hit a blistering .423 in the 3-1 victory slamming a career-high-tying 14 kills along with a career-best 21 digs to register his third career double-double. The Bears snapped a five-game skid with the victory and swept the season series winning their 12th straight over their Brooklyn rivals.

The honor roll nod is just the second garnered by a Bear since joining the Skyline Conference last season and the first recognition by the league in 2017.

The Bears (2-15) return to the court on Thursday, March 16 at 7 p.m. squaring off with City College of New York for the third time this season in their final tune-up before opening Skyline Conference action this weekend.
