PATCHOGUE, N.Y. — The St. Joseph's College (Brooklyn) men's volleyball team wrapped up the first season under Head Coach Mark Ledwich dropping a pair of straight-set decisions to St. Joseph's College (Long Island) and Sarah Lawrence College on Sunday afternoon.
Junior Alec Smalley (Fresh Meadows, N.Y./St. Francis Prep) led the attack with 11 kills and senior Angelo Goutzinopoulos (Astoria, N.Y./St. John's Prep) slammed nine kills over his final two games.

- In a match that determined eighth place in the final league standings, a tight opening set saw the Gryphons pull away at the 8-8 mark with 10 straight points and never trailed again for the rest of the match.
- Despite five kills from Andre Williams in the second stanza, the Bears couldn't keep pace with Gryphons who committed just one error in the set and hit .478 as a team.
- Alec Smalley led the Bears attack again with eight kills and served up an ace.
