Men’s Volleyball Falls To Rival SJC Long Island

BROOKLYN, N.Y. — The St. Joseph's College (Brooklyn) men's volleyball team (0-13, 0-5 Skyline) hosted Skyline conference rival St. Joseph's College (Long Island) on Tuesday night but came up empty, dropping a straight set decision (3-0) (25-10, 25-12, 25-11).

The Bears were carried by Sophomore Tim Driscoll (Staten Island, N.Y. / St. Peter's), who led the team with seven kills and two digs. Driscoll has now amassed five or more kills in his last six matches. Junior Sean Salomons (Staten Island, N.Y. / St. Peter's) slammed three kills, one service ace, six digs and one block solo. Senior Alec Willis (Staten Island, N.Y. / St. Joseph by the Sea) pounded two kills, 10 assists, three digs and one block.

SJC Long Island (16-7, 5-0 Skyline) was led by Will Flohr, Kyle Biggers, and David Slager. Flohr generated nine kills, three service aces, and eight digs. Biggers produced 10 kills, one service ace, and two blocks. Slager smashed eight kills and one block.

The Bears will be hosting Yeshiva University for their final home game of the season (Senior Night) on Thursday, March 22. First serve set for 7:00 p.m.
