The Lady Bears are a perfect 27-0 against New Rochelle in a series that dates back to April 17, 2003. St. Joseph's took the schools' last meeting, 14-0, earlier this season on April 4th.

Last Time Out: It wasn't a good Friday for St. Joseph's as they were edged out by Purchase College, 2-1 in the last inning, before falling 13-5, in five innings, to suffer a non-conference doubleheader road sweep.

The 2014 season has been a season of streaks for the Lady Bears and they are currently on a three-game losing streak following their season-high four-game winning streak earlier in the month. St. Joseph's looks to get back on track as they face a Blue Angels squad they have never lost to and defeated 14-0 on April 4th for their first win of the season.

The newcomers have been the story for the Lady Bears as five of the team's top hitters were not on the team a year ago. Junior Briana Robles has hit well as of late and has brought her average up to .371 and is tied for third with 11 RBI. Freshman Kristin Ferrigno continues to impress in her first year on campus, hitting .356 with 13 RBI and seven runs scored.

Another freshman Samantha Rossi supplies the power to the St. Joseph's lineup, leading the team with six doubles, a home run and a team-high 14 RBI in 54 at bats. Not to be overlooked is returner Cassandra Molinari who paces the team with a .414 average and has ten runs scored and 11 RBI on the year.

The Lady Bears rely on the duo of freshman Jamilynn McGowan and junior Jackie Perillo in the circle. McGowan leads the team with a 5.41 ERA in 55 2/3 innings, completing seven of her ten starts and has three wins. Perillo has a team-high four wins on the year and sports a 7.38 ERA in 56.0 innings.

Angel Dustings

Last Time Out: New Rochelle suffered a doubleheader sweep to Lehman College on April 12th, dropping a 21-1 decision in game one and suffered a 26-1 setback in the nightcap.

The Blue Angels have struggled in all facets of the game this season and come in on a 20-game losing streak, losing each game by the run-rule. Offense has been a struggle this season as the team carries a combined .145 batting average and has only scored 27 runs on the year. New Rochelle also hasn't gotten any help from its pitchers, who carry a 25.67 ERA and allow their opponents to hit .535 against them.

Shamella Bartholomew leads the Blue Angels with a .286 average on the year, while Tanika Charles contributes a .262 average, a team-high eight runs scored and three RBI.

Colleen Baudendistel has made a team-high eight starts in the circle and is 0-7 with a 20.47 ERA in 30 1/3 innings.
