Four From Women's Basketball Honored at USCAA Awards Banquet

UNIONTOWN, Pa. – In recognition of their outstanding performances on the hardwood and in the classroom, senior Kelly McNamee has been named a United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA) All-American Honorable Mention, while senior Megan Moran, junior Kristin D'Chiutiis and sophomore Erica Eddy have been named to the National All-Academic Team.

McNamee earns year-end honors from the USCAA for the first time in her career and follows junior Samantha Retas who was a First Team All-American a year ago. The senior concluded her career in style, averaging a career- and team-high 13.0 points per game on 34.0 percent shooting from beyond the arc and 90.6 percent shooting at the charity stripe. The guard also added 3.2 rebounds and 2.5 assists per game to her stat line. The senior finished with five games of 20 or more points and led the Lady Bears in scoring 11 times.

The one-time AD3I Player of the Week and Student-Athlete of the Month saved her best action of the season for the month of February as St. Joseph's was making its push towards its first appearance in the USCAA National Tournament since 2010. McNamee capped off her senior season with 15.6 points per game, the most of any month this season, and averaged 3.3 boards, 2.3 assists and 1.3 steals per game.

Moran takes home All-Academic Team honors from the USCAA for the first time in her career. The forward averaged a career-high 11.8 points per game on 44.0 percent shooting along with 7.3 rebounds per game. The two-time USCAA Player of the Week was a constant force in the St. Joseph's lineup, playing and starting in all 26 games on the season. Moran had three double-doubles on the season and concluded the season with double-digit points in 13 of the last 14 games.

D'Chiutiis is named to the All-Academic Team for the first time in her basketball career but was named to the All-Academic Team for Cross Country during the fall season. The junior appeared in 25 games for St. Joseph's making 23 starts at guard. D'Chiutiis averaged 5.1 points and 3.5 rebounds per game and finished second on the team with 2.8 assists per game. The junior scored a season-high 16 points versus Lehman on November 23rd, going 9-of-10 from the foul line.

Eddy is awarded All-Academic Team honors in her first season with the Lady Bears. The sophomore appeared in 14 games making three starts. Eddy averaged 5.4 points and 1.9 assists per game in 19.7 minutes per game. The guard scored a career-high 13 points against Staten Island on November 16th and Wisconsin-Stout on January 1st.
