BROOKLYN, N.Y. – The St. Joseph's College (Brooklyn) women's basketball team will seek a second straight victory to start the season when they face York (N.Y.) out of the CUNYAC conference on Saturday at Brooklyn Technical High School.

Sophomore forward Kristen Candelaria (Jamaica, N.Y./Archbishop Molloy) corralled 13 rebounds and scored eight points. Senior Taylor Raccuglia (Brooklyn, N.Y./Bishop Kearney) and freshman Terresa Danzey (Brooklyn, N.Y./Bishop Loughlin) each chipped in 10 points and eight rebounds.

Cardinal Watch

Last time out: York battled back and forth, but eventually pulled out the win over Yeshiva, 78-71 for their first win of the season on Wednesday night. The win snapped a two-game losing streak for the Cardinals.

Samantha Bond scored a team-high 26 points and led the team down the stretch for their first victory of the season. She is in the top-10 of the CUNYAC so far averaging 13 points per game. Angelika Ruggiano also tallied 17 points, to go along with seven boards and three assists for the Cardinals.
