Spotlight: Brittany Cervino, Women's Basketball

Brittany Cervino had her most productive year this past season tallying 124 points on 32.9 percent shooting from the field, dishing out 49 assists and pulling down 59 rebounds, all career bests, despite battling an injury midway through the season. Her increased production earned her 14 starts and was a contributor to the Lady Bears capturing the HVIAC title and berth to USCAA National Championships.

 I came to St. josephs because it was a small school and I knew I would get the one on one experience in the class room.

I am a criminal justice major with a track in juvenile justice, and a double minor in sociology and psychology.

Career goals after graduation…

Career goals after graduation would be working in a juvenile correctional facility.

My dream job is…

My dream job is to work with gang unit in the FBI.

Summer plans…

During the summers I work and travel the country with my boyfriend, he is a minor league baseball player and I wouldn't trade this for anything, it is such an experience.

Story behind your jersey number…

I became double zero freshman year of high school, that is when I really started cleaning up my act. I was told by many people I wouldn't make it out of the hole I dug myself in, but I did it, so I wear double zero just to show everyone I made moves with my life.

Favorite road trip so far… 

Our trip to DC my sophomore year was so much fun. We were able to explore the city and I had never been there before so it was really cool being there 

My goals for this season are to… 

My goal is to imprint the new conference we are joining. We are the underdog in this conference and I want to show what this team is really made of.

Favorite feature of The Hill Center...

My favorite feature in The Hill Center is the women's locker room. Naps all day!

When I found out the hill center was finally open I didn't even go in it because I was mad that it took so long, then when I went inside I never left.

Thank you all for your support and love through the past seasons, especially this summer with the moral support getting through my accident. I cant believe it is my final year here at St. Joseph's, this school is a big second family and I wish success on each and everyone of you!
