Women's Basketball Levels League Record With Big Second Quarter Against Purchase

PURCHASE, N.Y. — The St. Joseph's College (Brooklyn) women's basketball team outscored Purchase College 26-11 in the second quarter and four Lady Bears scored in double figures for a 76-66 Skyline Conference road victory on Monday night to extend their win streak to three.

• The Lady Bears got off to a slow start in the first, falling behind early and finding themselves down eight, 15-7, before scoring seven unanswered and trailing 17-14 at the first break.
• Marino scored the first six points of the second stanza to knot the game at 18-all and 20-all before Kellie O'Neill drained a pair of free throws and a trifecta that extended a 7-0 spurt.
