Kiley Named Skyline Women’s Basketball Rookie of the Week

NEW YORK — Following Saturday's 24-point double-double performance and averaging 15 points per game at the Emmanuel College Tip-Off Classic, freshman Emma Kiley (Whitestone, N.Y./Archbishop Molloy) was named the Skyline Conference Rookie of the Week, announced today by the league office.

Over the course of the two-day tournament, Kiley also averaged 9.5 rebounds per game to go along with four blocks per game. In the opening game against No. 25 Emmanuel, Kiley made 8-of-14 field goals, pouring in a team-best 24 points while shooting a perfect 8-for-8 from the free-throw line. She pulled down a game-high 15 boards to complete her first collegiate double-double. Additionally, the freshman center swatted away six shots picking up two more blocks in Sunday's consolation game against Husson; bringing her tournament-leading total to eight.

Kiley currently leads the team in total rebounds (29) and blocks (nine) to average 8.7 blocks per game and three blocks per game. She's also second on the team in scoring with 12.7 points per game.
