Women's Soccer Jumps Two Spots to Crack Top 10 in USCAA Coaches' Poll

BROOKLYN, N.Y.—One week after receiving their first United States Collegiate Athletic Association Coaches' Poll ranking, the St. Joseph's College (Brooklyn) women's soccer team has moved up to No. 10.

The Lady Bears (7-2) continue their best start in program history and are winners of three of their last four. Last Sunday, St. Joseph's suffered a 4-1 defeat — playing a woman down the entire game — to No. 6 Albany Pharmacy. The Lady Bears then rallied from two goals down to defeat unranked Briarcliffe College in overtime on Tuesday.

Three Hudson Valley Intercollegiate Athletic Conference teams remain in the top 20 led by Albany College of Pharmacy who remained in the No. 6 spot, followed by the Lady Bears at No. 10 and The King's College who fell one spot to No. 12.

The Lady Bears will host Lehman College on Tuesday, October 7th before squaring off against No. 12 King's on Thursday, October 9th, both games taking place at Aviator Field.
