Candelaria Breaks Saves Record Again as Women’s Soccer Visits Staten Island

STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — The St. Joseph's College (Brooklyn) women's soccer team couldn't ride the momentum of their first win of the season suffering a 9-0 setback to the College of Staten Island on Thursday afternoon. Senior Kristen Candelaria made 29 saves in the losing effort.

How It Happened

• The Bears defense kept CSI off the board for nearly 20 minutes before an Adrianna Parello goal off a rebound put the hosts up for good. The Dolphins scored three more times in the period carrying a 4-0 lead at the intermission and scored five after the break.
• The Dolphins stymied the SJC offense and controlled possession for most of the contest, finishing with a 63-0 shot discrepancy.
