Women's Swimming Sets Three More Records at Mount Saint Mary Double Dual

NEWBURGH, N.Y. — For the second straight meet, the St. Joseph's College (Brooklyn) women's swimming team set three new records as they dropped both ends of a Skyline double dual against Mount Saint Mary College and Purchase College on Friday evening.

Another for the Record Books

  • The Lady Bears got off to another quick start as Morgan Summers, Jillian O'Hara, Tina Wong and Shannon Doherty lowered their record in the 200-yard medley relay by over a second, taking second place with a time of 2:11.47.
  • Doherty, Brianna Minogue, O'Hara and Summers combined to swim the first sub-two-minute 200-yard freestyle relay, clocking in at 1:59.28, a full second faster than their record set last week.
  • Doherty etched her name in the fourth time in the SJC record book, posting a time of 28.19 in the 50-yard freestyle, breaking a three-year mark held by Kristen McMaster '12.
  • O'Hara swam a personal-best 2:44.99 in the 200-yard individual medley, securing third place.
  • Jessica Caiazzo also swam a personal best in the 100-yard breaststroke, clocking in at 1:56.59

St. Joseph's will continue Skyline Conference play on Saturday, November 21 with a double dual at Sarah Lawrence with Old Westbury. Start time is set for 1:30 p.m.
