FLUSHING, N.Y. — The St. Joseph's College (Brooklyn) women's swimming team returned to the pool after a nearly three-week break but dropped both ends of a non-conference double dual meet, falling to host Division II Queens College, 162-74, and NJAC foes Kean, 168-64, on Thursday evening

  • The senior quartet of Jessica Gnad (Brooklyn, N.Y./Leon M. Goldstein), Valerie Rodriguez (Woodhaven, N.Y./New Utrecht), Kathryn Cosenza (Brooklyn, N.Y./Bishop Kearney), and Rebecca Bollmann (Broad Channel, N.Y./Monsignor McClancy) in the 200-yard freestyle relay (2:07.20).
  • Seniors Bollmann, Gnad, Cosenza, and Eireann Corbett (Broad Channel, N.Y./Monsignor McClancy) teamed up to post a season-best time of 2:22.17 in the 200-yard medley relay.
  • Rodriguez captured third place with a time of 1:16.54 in the 100-yard backstroke. 
  • Gnad took third place in the 100-yard butterfly in 1:19.11.
  • Bollmann also collected third-place points in the 100-yard breaststroke finishing in 1:28.23 and added fourth-place points in the 100-yard individual medley finishing in 1:17.78.
  • Cosenza recorded a season-best 1:06.34 in the 100-yard freestyle, good for fourth place.
