Pierre Collects AD3I and HVIAC Player of the Week Awards

BROOKLYN, N.Y.—After tallying three match victories last week, Tathiana Pierre (Brooklyn, N.Y./Bishop Ford) earned Association of Division III Independents Women's Tennis Player of the Week and the Hudson Valley Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (HVIAC) Player of the Week honors.

This the junior's second time winning AD3I Player of the Week in her career and the first time she has received HVIAC Player of the Week honors. She is the first Lady Bear to win HVIAC Player of the Week since Kelly McNamee in 2012.

Pierre notched her first win of the season and the first victory in her career playing at No. 1 singles with a 7-6 (7-4), 6-3 win against Kean on October 3rd.

She secured her second straight No. 1 singles victory in the Lady Bears' 9-0 sweep over Vaughn on October 5th. Paired with Victoria LoBosco (Glendale, N.Y./Archbishop Molloy), the tandem also took home a win in No. 1 doubles match that day.

The Lady Bears continue HVIAC play on Friday, October 10 with a road match against The College of New Rochelle at 4 p.m.
