Trerotola Picks Up a Pair of Wins as Women’s Tennis Battles Brooklyn
FLUSHING, N.Y. — Sophomore Denise Trerotola (Brooklyn, N.Y./St. Saviour) coasted to a pair of victories in singles and doubles to post the first two points of the season for the St. Joseph's College (Brooklyn) women's tennis team in a 7-2 defeat to borough rivals Brooklyn College.

- Sophomore Denise Trerotola and senior Mary Edward dropped only one game at No. 1 doubles in a decisive 8-1 victory to post the first point of the match on the board.
- Trerotola bypassed Claudia Mizrahi at love in straight sets, 6-0, 6-0 for her first singles win of the season and seventh of her career.
- Edward and Daniella Alva played hard-fought matches at No. 2 and No. 5 singles, respectively, falling by matching 6-4, 6-3 margins.
- Alva and Kathryn Brucas teamed up at No. 3 doubles and took five games in an 8-5 losing effort.
Next Up for the Bears
- St. Joseph's will head to the Bronx to face another CUNYAC foe in Lehman College on Thursday, September 22 in a non-conference road match starting at 4 p.m.
