Trerotola Closes Out Women’s Tennis Season With Comeback Win Over SJC Long Island
PATCHOGUE, N.Y. — Sophomore Denise Trerotola (Brooklyn, N.Y./St. Savior) rallied for the second time this season after dropping her opening set and notched a win at No. 1 singles in a super tiebreaker securing the lone point for the SJC Brooklyn women's tennis team in their season finale at sibling rivals SJC Long Island.

- Denise Trerotola was edged out by a break, 6-4, in the first set by Amanda Post at No. 1 singles. But the sophomore took the second set by the same margin and in the third-set super-tiebreaker outlasted Post, 10-5, for her fifth singles victory of the season.
- Senior Katherine Brucas took three games off her opponent at No. 5 singles in her final career match and freshman Daniella Alva managed two games in the No. 4 singles position.

- Trerotola finishes her sophomore campaign collecting her 11th career singles victory and now stands in a six-way tie for third in the Bears record book and just five singles wins shy of tying the record held by Jessica Lintner '10.
- Mary Edward finishes her four-year career for St. Joseph's with 14 doubles victories (4th all-time) and 10 career singles wins (9th all-time).
- Trerotola's singles win was the first point taken off the Golden Eagles in the five meetings between the sibling rivals.
