Trerotola Picks Up Big Singles Win in Loss to Farmingdale State

FARMINGDALE, N.Y. — Senior Senior Denise Trerotola (Brooklyn, N.Y./St. Saviour) notched up her singles third win of the season notching the lone point for the St. Joseph's College (Brooklyn) women's tennis team in an 8-1 loss to Farmingdale State College in Skyline Conference action on Saturday morning.

In a matchup of 2017 Skyline All-Conference first-team selections in the No. 1 singles match, Trerotola defeated Kayla Reidy fin straight sets, 7-5, 6-1. It was her second straight win over Reidy. 

Ashleigh Hartwig (Santee, Calif./West Hills), Daniella Alva (Brooklyn, N.Y./Bishop Kearney) and Mariela Picon (Flushing, N.Y./Robert F. Wagner) each took three games off their opponents at No. 2, No. 4 and No. 6 singles in defeat.
