Volleyball Extends Winning Streak to 5, Sits 12th in Latest USCAA Poll

The Lady Bears easily defeated NYC College of Technology on Wednesday night in straight sets by a score of 25-12, 25-15, 25-11. During their 5 match winning streak, the Lady Bears have only dropped 2 sets and have held opponents to an average of 15 points a set.

St. Joseph's was dominating again offensively, recording 29 kills to City Tech's 15, had a team attacking percentage of .421., with 16 service aces. Senior Tamara Bulatovic (Queens, NY / Grover Cleveland) led the attack once again, with a match-high 12 kills, 6 service aces, and 3 digs. Freshman Victoria Curran (Queens, NY / Mary Louis) dished out 13 assists and added 5 service aces.

The Lady Bears are back in action on the road on Tuesday, October 14th in a Hudson Valley matchup against Pratt Institute. Game time is scheduled for 7:30 PM.

Yesterday the USCAA also released the 3rd Coaches' Poll. St. Joseph's is currently ranked 12th and is on the outside looking in as part of their quest to qualify for their 4th straight national tournament. Eight teams are given invitations to the USCAA National Tournament which is scheduled for October 23-25.
