Candelaria Paces Women's Cross Country to 12th at Skyline Championships

SAYVILLE, N.Y. — Senior Kristen Candelaria (Jamaica, N.Y./Archbishop Molloy) was the top finisher for the St. Joseph's College (Brooklyn) women's cross country team as they competed in the Skyline Conference Championships on Sunday afternoon.

SJC Highlights

• Kristen Candelaria covered the 6-kilometer course in 30:26 finishing in 64th overall.
• Sophomore Shannon Doherty was second for SJC with a time of 31 minutes even.
• Sophomore Victoria Mahoney (32:06, 79th), junior Katie Wenzler (38:17, 98th) and freshman Tamarre Phajou (39:22, 100th) rounded out the scoring five for the Bears.

• Farmingdale State won the overall team title with a 31-point victory over Mount Saint Mary.
