Milazzo and McNamee Receive All-HVIAC Cross Country Honors

BROOKLYN, N.Y. – Recognizing their outstanding performance throughout the season seniors Paul Milazzo (Port Jefferson, N.Y./Connetquot) and Kelly McNamee (Glendale, N.Y./Mary Louis) have been named to the Hudson Valley Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (HVIAC) Men's and Women's Cross Country All-Conference Teams in an announcement released by the conference today.

Milazzo was named HVIAC Player of the Week on October 8th after finishing 57th out of 167 runners in the NJIT XC Challenge on October 5th. The senior harrier was the top finisher for the Bears in all four races. Milazzo captured 6th overall at the HVIAC Championships covering the 8-kilometer course in a career-best time of 27:41. At the CSI Invitational the senior took medalist honors finishing 9th overall completing the 5-kilometer track in 17:55.

Milazzo earns Hudson Valley All-Conference honors for the first time in his career with this being his lone season with the Bears after coming over from sister campus St. Joseph's (L.I.). During his time with the Golden Eagles, the senior was named to the Skyline All-Conference team as a second team selection in 2010 and 2012.

McNamee ran in all four meets for the Lady Bears finishing first for the Lady Bears in each race. The senior set a personal-best with a time of 22:00 on the 5-kilometer course at the HVIAC Championships placing 21st. McNamee had a season-best finish of 14th at the CSI Invitational completing the track in 23:40 as St. Joseph's had a season-best finish of 7th place.

McNamee takes home cross country All-Conference honors for the first time in her career adding to her All-HVIAC honors in women's tennis received on Saturday.
