Skyline Honors 55 Bears on Winter/Spring Academic Honor Roll
NEW YORK — Fifty-five St. Joseph's College (Brooklyn) student-athletes were recognized on the Skyline Conference 2019-20 Winter/Spring Academic Honor Roll as announced by the Skyline Conference Commissioner Linda Bruno on Friday morning.
"Congratulations to all our student-athletes for their success in the classroom," commented Bruno. "A large amount of credit is due this year, especially, given how the student-athletes were able to adjust on the fly to the virtual classroom environment during the on-going public health emergency. The Conference is proud of how these young men and women continue to epitomize the values listed in the NCAA Division III Philosophy Statement."
In total, 723 rostered winter- and spring-sport student-athletes from the Conference's 12 core and two associate member institutions maintained a cumulative 3.3-plus grade-point average (on a 4.0 scale) at the conclusion of the 2019-20 academic year.
Of the 55 Bears to receive the distinction, 25 landed on the honor roll in multiple seasons, with six seniors — Rebecca Bollmann (women's swimming), Kathryn Cosenza (women's swimming), Lauren Quesada (women's basketball), Kavan Meiner (men's basketball), Madison Erhardt (softball), Gabriella Fielding (softball) — graduating as four-time honorees. Softball led the Bears placing 13 on the honor roll, followed by Baseball with 11, and women's basketball with nine.
