Directions - Calvert Vaux Park
Beginning with the 2018 season, Calvert Vaux Park will serve as home to the St. Joseph's College (Brooklyn) baseball team.
Located in the Gravesend Bay section of Brooklyn just miles from SJC's Clinton Hill campus, the field is located off the Belt Expressway at the intersection of Shore Parkway and Shell Road.
By Car
From Points North & West
Take Brooklyn-Queens Expressway (I278) exit 22, Belt Parkway East. Proceed for 6.7 miles on the Belt Parkway to Exit 6 (Cropsey Ave/Coney Island). Upon exiting the Belt Parkway, the entrance to the park will be immediately on your right. Drive around the parking lot, there will be a secondary parking lot with the baseball field in the back behind the turf soccer fields.
From Points East
Take the Southern State Parkway to the Belt Parkway West (stay left after Exit 13S). Proceed on the Belt Parkway for 16 miles to Exit 6N (Cropsey Ave). After exiting, bear right onto Cropsey Ave. continuing for 1/2 mile and make a left turn on 26th street. After crossing underneath the Belt Parkway, make a left on to Shore Parkway. The park will be on your right in about 1/2 mile. (The entrance will be just past the exit ramp for the Belt Parkway East). Drive around the parking lot, there will be a secondary parking lot with the baseball field in the back behind the turf soccer fields.
By Mass Transit
Via D Train - Bay 50th St.
Take the D Train toward Coney Island to the Bay 50th St. stop. Walk southwest on Bay 50th St. for about 0.5 mile making a left onto Cropsey Ave. and cross the street. After walking over the Belt Parkway, make the first right onto Bay 52nd Street and stay right onto Shore Parkway. (The field is not the first set of fields at the corner.) Continue walking until you see the entrance for Calvert Vaux Park on your left.
