How It Happened
The Bears outshot York 4-0 early on before Garcia got them on the board in the 21st minute firing a shot from the left side that slipped through the keeper's hands. However, the lead remained 1-0 entering intermission.

One minute into the second half Garcia netted his second tally of the game, beating the keeper on the short side for a 2-0 advantage. Then, in the 58th minute, an own goal for SJC kept the Cardinals in it, cutting the lead to 2-1. The Bears added some insurance five minutes later as Garcia dish to Daniel Goncalves (Astoria, N.Y./Cathedral Prep), who then split the defenders in the box and beat the goalie on the far right side.

Soon after (69th minute), Brandon Georges (Brooklyn, N.Y./New Utrecht) nabbed his first-career goal, finishing a cross from his brother Mateusz Georges (Brooklyn, N.Y./New Utrecht) for a 4-1 advantage. The Bears' final insurance goal came in the 87th minute as Thomas Mastoras (Flushing, N.Y./Francis Lewis) chipped a shot over the keeper on a breakaway to seal the victory.
