Farmingdale State Overwhelms Women’s Soccer

BROOKLYN, N.Y. — The St. Joseph's College (Brooklyn) women's soccer team (5-6, 2-2 Skyline) hosted Farmingdale State College (7-2-1, 2-0 Skyline) in a Skyline matchup on Monday night at Aviator Field and couldn't contain a scorching Rams offense, falling 7-0.

How It Happened
The Bears attempted just one shot in the first half and Farmingdale opened the scoring in the 23rd minute as Allison Khare finished a cross from Alyssa Parrotta for a 1-0 lead. Edasia Martinez doubled the advantage in the 34th minute while the Rams kept the ball in SJC territory for nearly the entire 45.

Parrotta was on the other end of a cross scoring the Rams third goal of the game three minutes into the second and Julissa Martinez extended the advantage to 4-0 six minutes later tapping in a shot from 10 feet away. FSC recorded two additional tallies in the 56th minute alone as they ran away with this one to remain undefeated in league play.

For the Bears

  • Anisah Molic (Staten Island, N.Y./Susan Wagner) led the offense on a tough night with two shots.
  • Goalkeeper Lauren Quesada (Westbury, N.Y./St. Francis Prep) made her season debut late in the game and made a save while allowing one score.
