Molic Earns Skyline Conference Offensive Player of the Week Accolades

NEW YORK — St. Joseph's College (Brooklyn) junior Anisah Molic (Staten Island, N.Y./Susan E. Wagner) was selected as the Skyline Conference women's soccer Offensive Player of the Week for the week ending September 22, as announced by the league office today.

Molic scored five goals with an assist in a 1-1 week for the Bears. She poured in four goals with an assist in just 18 minutes of action against Medgar Evers on Wednesday before capping off the week with a tally in a narrow 4-3 overtime loss to CCNY on Saturday. Molic has scored a goal in six of seven games played and rides a four-game goal-scoring streak.

The forward currently is tied for third in NCAA Division III and second in the Skyline Conference with 11 goals scored. Coupled with Deserae Sequeira's (Clark, N.J./Arthur L. Johnson) league-leading 14 goals, the Bears currently lead the nation in total goals (59) and points (149).

It is the third weekly honor garnered by the team this season with Sequeira named Offensive Player of the Week in week one and freshman Haley Fahrmann (New Brighton, Minn./Irondale) tapped Rookie of the Week last week.

St. Joseph's (6-2) heads to Rutgers University-Newark tomorrow (September 25) for a non-conference tilt starting at 8 p.m.
