The Lady Bears threatened to force a fifth-and-deciding set building a 22-15 lead in the 4th set, but couldn't convert two set points. Lauren GaNun led the Lady Bears with a match-high 13 kills. The Lady Bears improve to 5-12 on the season.
October 14, 2010 Matthews Named HVWAC Rookie of the Week NEW YORK, NY – St. Joseph’s junior outside hitter Kim Matthews (Brooklyn, NY/Bishop Kearney) has received Hudson Valley Women’s Athletic Conference (HVWAC) Rookie of the Week honors in an announcement made by the conference yesterday. This is the second time this season Matthews has been selected as the Rookie of the Week, also receiving the honor for the week of September 22.
October 12, 2010 Lady Bears Downed in Thrilling Conference Match BROOKLYN, NY - The St. Joseph's College women's volleyball team was defeated by the Sarah Lawrence Gryphons on Tuesday night in an intense conference battle 3-2. The Lady Bears are now 4-12 on the year and 1-2 in the Hudson Valley Women's Athletic Conference, while the Gryphons are 3-8 and 1-1 in conference play. Senior Yliane Ulloa (Queens, NY/Midwood) had a match-high 16 kills and fell a dig shy of a double-double.

October 2, 2010 Women's Volleyball Defeated by Ramapo and Mount Saint Vincent RIVERDALE, NY – Behind a trio of double-double performances from seniors Yliane Ulloa (Queens, NY/Midwood) and Melissa Simo (Brooklyn, NY/Midwood), and junior Kim Matthews (Brooklyn, NY/Bishop Kearney), the St. Joseph’s College women’s volleyball took host Mount Saint Vincent to the limit falling in five sets on Saturday afternoon. The Lady Bears were overpowered by Ramapo losing 3-0 earlier in the day.

September 16, 2010 Women's Volleyball Falls to Undefeated Brooklyn College BROOKLYN, NY – The St. Joseph’s College Lady Bears volleyball team was defeated by the Brooklyn College Bulldogs in straight sets on Thursday night, 25-20, 25-16, 25-22. November 2, 2008 Women’s Volleyball Captures 5th Straight Hudson Valley Title St. Joseph’s swept New Rochelle in the semifinals and Sarah Lawrence in the championship match of the Hudson Valley Women’s Athletic Conference Championships held in Bronxville, NY at Sarah Lawrence College on Sunday afternoon. This is the fifth straight Hudson Valley Women’s Athletic Conference title and the Lady Bears have not lost a HVWAC match in three seasons.
October 29, 2008 Volleyball Caps Regular Season With 12 Game Win Streak The Lady Bears Volleyball team finished their 2008 season with another straight set victory over the Old Westbury Panthers on Wednesday night in front of a large crowd as the student body celebrated Spirit Day. Also in attendance were members of the NCAA Membership Committee conducting a campus visit as part of the NCAA provisional membership process. The victory increases the Lady Bears' winning streak to 12 and they haven't dropped a set in the last 8 matches. After starting the season at 4-4, adjusting to the new coaching staff, the Lady Bears now sit at 16-4 going into the Hudson Valley Women's Athletic Conference Tournament this weekend.

The Lady Bears had a strong showing defeating the Cardinals in straight sets (25-15, 25-8, 25-17) giving O’Neill her first collegiate win as a head coach.
