PATCHOGUE, N.Y. — Looking to climb up the Skyline standings against their sibling rivals, the St. Joseph's College (Brooklyn) men's soccer team suffered a 3-0 setback to St. Joseph's College (Long Island) on Friday evening.

  • Justin Heredia marker in the 13th minute was all the Golden Eagles needed in the battle of the two SJCNY campuses and both squads entering with matching 3-2 league records.
  • Brian O'Sullivan scored before and after the intermission to create the final differential.
  • The Golden Eagles maintained an 18-10 shot advantage and reigning Skyline Conference Co-Rookie of the Week Julian Rodriguez finished with seven saves in defeat.

  • Beka Goduadze led the Bears front line with five shots (three on goal) and saw his goal-scoring streak snapped at three games, one sky of matching his own program record.
  • Thomas Mastoras fired three shots with one on target.
  • Cesar Oviedo and Michael Ortiz also registered a shot.

  • Long Island has won all three meetings in the all-time series.
