Trerotola Rallies Against SJC Long Island to Win Third Straight in Singles
FLUSHING, N.Y. — After dropping her opening set, sophomore Denise Trerotola (Brooklyn, N.Y./St. Saviour) came back to win in a third-set tiebreaker to salvage the lone point for St. Joseph's College (Brooklyn) men's tennis team in an 8-1 setback to St. Joseph's College (Long Island) in Skyline Conference action on Thursday evening at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center.

- Denise Trerotola lost the opening set of her No. 5 singles match by a break, 6-4, but leveled the match taking set two, 6-2. In the ensuing super tiebreaker, she cruised to a 10-4 victory to win her third straight singles match and collected her team-leading fourth victory of the season.
- Shivam Ghai put up a fight at the top of the lineup, dropping a 6-4, 6-3 decision at No. 1 singles.
- Alec Smalley fell 6-3, 6-2 at No. 4 singles and teamed up with Israel Bautista at No. 3 doubles for the closest match of the opening session losing by a break, 8-6.
