PATCHOGUE, N.Y. — The St. Joseph's College (Brooklyn) women soccer team suffered a 4-0 defeat at St. Joseph's College (Long Island) on Wednesday evening in Skyline Conference action at the SJC Outdoor Field Complex.
The Golden Eagles (8-3, 5-1) struck first in the 28th minute after a ball played into the box from a corner was shot in by Alyssa Ramcke. The Bears (5-6-1, 2-4) defended well and maintained a one-goal deficit before the hosts added another with less than a minute before the break.
Long Island scored in the opening minutes of the second stanza and capped the scoring with a goal from distance in the 62nd minute.
Sierra Bedrin (Rocklin, Calif./Whitney) stopped 13 shots in a losing effort in net.
