How it Happened
The Rams (3-3-2, 2-0-1) held a 2-0 inside 20 minutes with the first goal coming in the 12th minute and their second occurring eight minutes later. Celina Schenk, who scored the 20th-minute goal, secured a first-half brace in the 31st minute as the hosts went into the intermission with a 3-0 advantage.
Despite the Rams firing off 38 shots on the afternoon, and 22 on target, Bears (2-2-1, 1-1) shot-stopper Julia Marin (Trumbull, Conn./Trumbull) registered 16 saves – surpassing her 14 against Rutgers-Newark earlier this month – to keep Farmingdale State from inflicting further damage.
