KINGS POINT, N.Y. – The St. Joseph's University, N.Y. (Brooklyn) women's soccer team endured a 4-0 defeat against the United States Merchant Marine Academy on Wednesday afternoon from Bartoszek Field.
How it Happened
It took the hosts three minutes to open the scoring. Midway through the half, the Mariners found a second goal courtesy of a header off a corner kick (26') before scoring their third five minutes before the interval. In the second half, USMMA secured the 4-0 result with a goal in the 70th minute.
Facing 22 shots, Bears goalkeeper Julia Marin (Trumbull, Conn./Trumbull) made seven saves.
